Facilities Area Manager
Job Summary
Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Job Description
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Facilities Director, manages a team of System Owners and Facilities Technicians.
- Responsible for meeting all Safety, Environmental, Quality, Reliability and Cost KPI's.
- Ensures team is resourced and trained to meet expectations.
- Participates collaboratively with other leaders eg EHS in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of the organization.
- Establishes benchmarking programs to study and implement industry best known practices.
- This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated history of using 8D/RCCA process for incident investigation & response.
- Experience working in a multi-location, global enterprise.
- Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing or similar high-tech environment.
- Experience establishing talent pipelines with local organizations and institutions.
- Provides a deep level of knowledge of industrial facilities operations and best-practices.
- Has knowledge of EH&S operations including OSHA and EPA regulations.
