Overview:
Broward County General Contractor is in need of a full time Project Coordinator to help coordinate the scheduling of paving and various general construction projects. In this role, you will assist in the planning, executing, and delivering of multiple projects, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Projects range in size from $ 5000 to $ 500,000. They can span a few days or months and range geographically from Miami Dade to Palm Beach with Broward County being our main hub.
Communication & Stakeholder Management Requirements:
- Work with and support Project Managers in managing and coordinating the various trades and material suppliers.
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with clients, internal personnel, and subcontractors.
- Schedule all asphalt and concrete related work with the sub-contractors and clients.
- Coordinate with the general construction project managers to assist in scheduling of sub-contractors and clients.
- Maintain and update the daily work schedule calendar.
- Identify potential risks that may affect project deliverability and success. Develop plans to reduce such risk.
- Manage administrative tasks throughout the project completion process, including problem resolution and handling the day-to-day issues related to construction.
- Coordinate completion of punch list items and follow up to assure punch list is timely completed.
- Coordinate with billing and finance so that jobs are timely invoiced to the customer.
- Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date, accessible to the project team and delivered to the client at project completion.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in project coordination
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time
- Face paced environment
- Knowledge of MS Office, Microsoft Project, Excel
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
- Work cooperatively with others to attain assignment goals and objectives
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Valid driver’s license
- College Degree Preferred
- Spanish is encouraged but not required
- Weekend availability
