What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crane Operator position at M. B. Kahn Services, LLC?
PRIMARY FUNCTION: crane operation for lattice boom and hydraulic cranes up to 200 ton.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for operation of cranes used in heavy lifting.
- Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations.
- Responsible for compliance with policy, safety guidelines and procedures that pertain to the crane operator's job (Company and OSHA standards)
- Remains in continual voice (radio), hand and or communication with rigger(s) while operating the crane
- Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged
- Follows correct lock-out and tag procedures
- Shows commitment to safety culture
- Participates in jobsite meetings and safety meetings
- Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- NCCCO Certification required
- 5 years of experience in heavy construction preferred
- Ability to assume responsibility and communicate with others
