Laborer

Primary Function: Perform manual labor tasks and support operations on worksites.

1. Assist craft workers; help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labors when necessary.
2. Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
3. Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.
4. Put together and take apart temporary structures, and scaffolding.
5. Use power tools and machinery when needed.
6. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, or rakes.
7. Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts.
8. Perform site clean-up.
9. Follow instructions from site supervisors.
10. Knowledge of M. B. Kahns Safety Program and OSHA guidelines. Complies with Company policies, procedures, and standards.
11. Promotes integrity, honesty, hard work, safety, and quality throughout all aspects of the project and is a professional representative of M. B. Kahn.
12. Performs additional assignments as directed by management or as required for successful project completion.

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
2. Ability to physically stand, bend, climb, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds.
3. Workers must be punctual and reliable.
4. Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus.
