The Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) will oversee the Security Administration function to include the development and implementation of policies and programs that ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws, and government security regulations and requirements set forth in the contract. Be responsible for ensuring a high level of compliance with M.C. Dean and client security programs for the safeguarding of personnel; property; and Information systems on a proactive and reactive basis. The CSSO requires an individual with a background in one or more of the security disciplines (Physical, Technical, Personnel, Cyber, Protective, and Operational) and a willingness/desire to gain proficiency in performing in all disciplines. The volume of work requires an individual with a collaborative work ethic, a willingness/ability to travel, an ability to respond to short fused situations, a desire to continuously seek programmatic security improvement and possess flexibility to address typical and atypical Client and Corporate Security needs. Requirements This employee will have to work at our head quarters location in Tysons, VA 1-2 times a week in support of contractual requirements, but will report to Ft. Meade office on other days. **Local travel – 5% in Northern Virginia area **Other travel – 5-10%, depending on customer requirements
Client Support
•Provides support for all security functions in accordance with ICD's and other applicable government security directives associated with SCI and other special security programs. •Administers routine aspects of industrial security programs and supports SCI and Special Access Programs in compliance with JAFAN's, DCID's, ICD's and other applicable government security directives associated with SCI and other special security programs. •Establishes and maintains a working relationship with federal customers. •Prepares visit authorization letters (VARs). •Develops and provides new employee security briefings, exit interviews, and debriefings. •In depth knowledge of building, accrediting, and managing SCIF/SAPFs across various government agencies (Fixed Facility Checklists, etc.). •Experience writing Standard Operating Procedure Manuals. •Filing and submitting necessary clearance paperwork for employees, candidates, and consultants. •Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relay technical information to others. Corporate Security Support •Baltimore, MD office support:
•Uses Security databases to track and maintain clearances. Must possess practical knowledge of and experience with JPAS, e-QIP, and ACCS. •Maintains SCIF visitor control functions, practical knowledge of DMP, Software House and Lenel. •Investigates and reports security violations, and incident reports. •Practical knowledge of SIMS or related security management data base software. •Maintains a working relationship with each contract's security office for processing and maintaining employee clearances/accesses. •Prepares written reports of surveys and inspections. •Maintains all security documentation and files in accordance with government requirements. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and via telephone. •Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills. •Proven knowledge and managerial experience. •Requires independent judgment and discretion, as well as the identification, analysis and resolution of security related matters. Experience and Education •Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and successfully completed polygraph is required. •Bachelor's degree • Five or more years in a CSSO capacity. •CSSO certification required. PSO and SSO training and certification desired. •COMSEC Custodian certification required. •Previous experience DoD, IC, and other USG agencies. •Working knowledge of the NISPOM and ICD's. Abilities:
