Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 2 Years
- Previous position requiring good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Typing 40 WPM
Abilities:
- The use of website to research and determine parts and material information
- Negotiating to obtain competitive pricing
- Inspecting and receiving materials and equipment
- Preparing materials for shipment and storage
- Tracking material orders and shipments
- Advance use of computerized inventory system
- Complying with requirements to handle hazardous materials
- Warehouse planning and management
- Operating a forklift
- Determining and maintaining inventory levels
Physical Requirements and Safety Certifications:
- Occupation Safety Haz-Mat
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Safely Lift and Move Objects of up to 50 LBS
Security and Work Locations:
- Work is primarily in San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA but you may travel for extended periods to other shipyards in the USA and to other Navy ports outside the USA
- You will work at government facilities. You must be a US Citizenship eligible for clearance.
- You must pass a background investigation
- You must have a valid driver's license
