Job Overview
The Human Resource Specialist supports the HR function and specializes in more than one area including but not limited to recruitment/hiring, onboarding, and professional development. The Human Resources Specialist will also perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations’ human resources department.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Performs full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Analyze HR reports including but not limited to turnover data, hiring trends, and policies, to provide recommendations for consistent improvement.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes.
- Processes incoming mail and correspondence and prepares outgoing mail.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department, including but not limited to employee status changes, and updating information in HRIS.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding personnel files, employee data, and all other confidential information.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, preferable, OR combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years of human resource experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time management skills, and high-level attention to details.
- Effective at managing multiple priorities and delivering timely results.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, problem-solving skills, and analytical skills.
- Experience with HR software programs, ADP preferable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of general HR compliance laws, practices, and processes.
Job Environment and Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced office environment.
- Occasional pressure to produce under severe time constraints and deadlines. May be requested to work overtime and weekends from time to time.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
