Job Summary : This position supports the Plant Controller in the direct supervision of the day-to-day general accounting functions, coordination of the month end closing process, and daily / weekly / monthly financial reporting. Primary day-to-day responsibilities include cost accounting; monitor and report variances, standard cost revisions and the ASAT program.
Salary : $105-$115 / Annually
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Perform as a Cost Accountant on a day-to-day basis. Assist and oversee the General Accounting functions such as fixed assets, inter-company accounting and financial reporting.
- Assist in financial, internal and governmental audits.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly operations package, Non-Financial Indicators, Balanced Scorecard, and the “checkbook”.
- Review / perform account reconciliations.
- Participate / back-up for payroll processing and cycle count program.
- Assist / participate in physical inventories of fixed assets.
- Business unit / corporate requests.
- Assist in the financial closing and with preparation of journal entries.
- Support management financial requests for information through detail analysis and reporting.
- Perform finance ASAT’s and monitor other areas to make sure Waco maintains 100% completion.
- Assist controller in forecasting / budgeting as needed.
- Work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.
- Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions.
- Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor.
