Job Summary
We are looking for a 2nd shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician I to join our Tower Sealants team. Must have a safety-first attitude that includes wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Must have experience with good manufacturing practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and work well with others.
- Must have strong knowledge of safety rules in a manufacturing environment.
- Trouble shoot and repair production equipment by referring to operating and
maintenance manuals, drawings, schematics, handbooks, code books, and any related documents to determine requirements as to functioning of components, work to be
performed, materials, repair, service, and maintenance procedures.
- All work is to be performed while adhering to all mandated Federal, State, Local and
company Safety Regulations.
- Must be able to interpret and work from print (Verbal, Blueprints and Drawings).
Job Standards:
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 to 10 hours.
- Must be able to lift, carry or move 50 lbs. often
- Must be active and able to climb ladders to perform work at heights of 50 feet or less.
- Perform all work according to Code and in a neat and workman like manner.
- All work is to be performed while adhering to all mandated Federal, State, Local and
company Safety Regulations.
- Welding is required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- 5 years’ experience PLC controlled Machinery and the theory of operation. Trouble shooting and component knowledge up to programming.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to transfer or interpret the
explanation of problems and to receive and understand work assignments.
- Strong mechanical background, PM program experience and routine maintenance required.
- Electrical skills including diagnosis, repair and proper sizing due to components requirement.
- Must have strong mechanical ability with pneumatics, gearboxes, packaging machines.

EQUIPMENT: (Machines, devices, tools, personal protective equipment, etc. used in this job):
JOB LOCATION/ENVIRONMENT/SURROUNDINGS:
All Manufacturing and Distribution facilities. Noise levels require the use of ear plugs. Due to noise levels, verbal communications may, at times, be difficult. The area is not air conditioned. The floor is concrete with no floor covering. Working in ambient temperatures.
