What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Order Picker/Forklift Operator position at M-D Building Products Inc?
Position Overview:
The Warehouse Order Picker/Forklift Operator will pick and pack orders in a Distribution Center environment. This is a 2nd shift position during the hours of 2:45PM – 11:15PM; Monday – Friday. This position pays an hourly rate of $19.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to stand, lift, bend and stretch for 8 hours.
- Ability to lift products ranging in weight from 11 lbs. to 50-65 lbs.
- Must wear & maintain proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment i.e. steel to shoes/boots).
- Must be able to operate sit down and stand-up forklifts.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal & written) and possess basic math skills.
- Must be able to receive & execute delegation from department leadership.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Accuracy when pulling products, checking products into the Distribution Center, and loading shipments.
- Housekeeping to ensure a clean & safe working environment.
- The ability to handle limited chemical transporting from one department to another.
- Ensure that all tasks are executed with safety as top priority.
