Job Summary
M/E Engineering is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Schenectady, NY. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in creating built environments that support a sustainable future for the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
Perform assignments designed to develop skills of the Project Engineer/Design Engineer.
Utilize engineering principles and standard designs to develop project designs and layouts.
Work with Senior Engineer, Project Engineer, Group Manager, Partner, Associate, and or Principal.
Independently perform assignments after instructions as to the general results expected.
Receive guidance on unusual problems and supervisory approval on developed plans.
Assist in the preparation of contract documents.
Plan, schedule, and conduct all phases of the work in a partial or a total project of moderate scope.
Perform conventional engineering work including standard designs.
Make engineering calculations.
Develop elementary designs expanding on detailed schematic sketches.
Coordinate production and coordination with Senior Engineer/Designer or Project Engineer/Designer.
Requirements
Associate degree, Bachelor of Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CAD (Revit) experience preferred.
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $62,400 to $72,500 per year.
