SUMMARY:
The Restaurant Supervisor is under the supervision of the Operations Manager. Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on the restaurant/bar floor. This role is crucial for creating a positive guest experience and ensuring smooth operations. Ensuring that service standards are maintained and that the restaurant runs smoothly. Ensuring all guest & employee satisfaction is met. Enforcing policies and procedures developed by the Operations Manager at all times in addition to enforcing The Park policy and procedures; as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise front-of-house staff, including server, hosts/hostesses and bussers.
- Coordinate staff schedules and manage shift changes.
- Hiring of front-of house staff.
- Train new staff on customer service standards and operational procedures. Ensures Host/Hostess and Servers follow policy and procedure
- Enforce and adhere to Attendance Policy, taking immediate action on all violations.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and address any guest complaints or issues promptly. Making sure guests receive prompt, courteous and friendly service.
- Monitor the dining are to ensure guests are satisfied and that service is running smoothly.
- Oversee daily operations on the floor, including the smooth seating of guests, order taking and food delivery.
- Ensure the dining are is clean, organized and properly set-up.
- Communicate recommendations to Operations Manager on necessary disciplinary actions for staff.
- Raise the level of professionalism and maintain excellent guest relations.
- Instill enthusiasm in the staff, to ensure a quality dining experience for all guests.
- Oversee that tables are pre-bussed.
- Ensure that supplies are well stocked and readily available.
- Serve as liaison between the Servers and Kitchen Staff to ensure food is served in a timely, and well-prepared fashion
- Prepare the end of shift documents and process; keeping track of shortages or needs to Operations Manager.
- Resolve Customer disputes in a courteous and timely manner, reporting all incidents to the Operations Manager.
- Resolve conflicts between staff member and/or guests.
- Adherence to dress code/uniform policy as specified by the restaurant.
- Act as liaison between front-of-house and the back-of-house
- Ensure effective communication regarding special requests, dietary restrictions, or service needs.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be alcohol and drug free while on duty.
- Clean with proper hygiene habits.
- Uniforms must be kept neat and clean in appearance.
- Complete and execute Server Training.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain a high level of organization
- Effecting verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff and guests.
- Previous experience in a customer service or restaurant environment preferred.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- TAM certified
- Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time, bend and stretch frequently and walk throughout the establishment as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous server experience and customer service is preferred.
- Minimum of one-year experience in the Food Service and Bar industry preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Verifiable reference is preferred.
