QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited college or university in communication, visual arts or related field;
- Exceptional graphic design skills;
- Seasoned background in photography editing;
- Understanding of social media and ability to build engagement across multiple platforms;
- Animation and video editing skills preferred;
- DSLR photography preferred;
- Public education experience, preferred;
- At least three (3) years work experience in graphic design/visual media preferred;
- Computer proficiency required in desktop publishing; Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop;
- Demonstrated proficiency on Macintosh computers;
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple assignments, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality essential;
- Demonstrated strong work ethic / organizational skills; and
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Annual Contract: 250 days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$59,028 BA 3
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2024-2025
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Build an in-house graphic library by creating new images for district publications, social media channels and broadcasts.
- Design graphics for publications, social media and the district website.
- Adhere to and maintain consistent district branding.
- Maintain flexible hours including evening and weekend work.
- Work with graphic art teachers and students to assist with design projects.
- Responsible for producing designated district publications.
- Assist other departments with producing brochures/flyers.
- Coordinate the printing of selected publications with the district print center.
- Identify state-of-the-art design techniques used by multimedia professionals to ensure compliance to industry standards.
- Attend Board meetings and assist with social media coverage.
- Compile all multimedia statistics for monthly reports.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the director of communication.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
