Responsibilities/Job Description
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology procurement strategy aligned with Fairview Health Services’ business and operational goals.
- Lead sourcing initiatives to evaluate and select vendors that offer optimal value in terms of cost, quality, innovation, and service delivery.
- Collaborate with IT and business leaders to identify technology needs, optimize procurement processes, and enhance supplier engagement.
- Ensure procurement activities align with Fairview’s financial goals and sustainability objectives.
- Drive strategic sourcing initiatives that incorporate a mix of local and international workforce solutions, ensuring access to top-tier global talent while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Vendor Management & Performance Optimization
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key technology vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and escalations.
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor supplier performance against contractual commitments, service level agreements (SLAs), and business objectives.
- Implement governance frameworks for vendor risk management, including regular performance reviews, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions.
Contract Negotiation & Compliance
- Lead contract negotiations for technology-related agreements, ensuring favorable terms, competitive pricing, and value-added services.
- Maintain a centralized repository for all technology contracts, ensuring transparency, easy access, and timely renewals.
- Partner with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to ensure all technology contracts align with Fairview Health Services’ policies and industry regulations.
- Enforce governance standards and contractual compliance, including cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory obligations.
Financial & Operational Efficiency
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation, bulk purchasing, and strategic partnerships.
- Drive procurement efficiency by leveraging automation, data analytics, and best practices in sourcing and supplier management.
- Provide executive-level reporting on procurement performance, financial impact, and supplier risk assessments.
- Ensure procurement strategies support digital transformation initiatives, including cloud computing, AI, and IT infrastructure modernization.
Reports, Dashboards & Technology Integration
- Develop and manage real-time dashboards and automated reports to track procurement performance, vendor compliance, and contract renewals.
- Implement AI-driven analytics tools to assess spend analytics, supplier performance, and risk exposure.
- Leverage cloud-based procurement and contract management platforms to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and real-time insights.
- Ensure technology-driven solutions are integrated into tracking overall procurement performance across various categories.
Global Team Collaboration & Delivery
- Establish frameworks to coordinate cross-functional global teams in procurement, contract management, and supplier strategy execution.
- Foster collaboration across geographically dispersed teams to ensure streamlined procurement operations and seamless technology adoption.
- Utilize digital collaboration tools to improve communication, efficiency, and transparency in vendor management.
- Drive alignment between regional and global supplier engagements, ensuring standardization and best practices are adopted enterprise wide.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Encourage technology vendors to contribute innovative solutions that enhance Fairview Health Services’ digital capabilities and patient care services.
- Benchmark procurement and sourcing practices against industry standards to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop training and knowledge-sharing programs to enhance procurement capabilities across the organization.
Qualifications
Required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field or Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
- 10 years of procurement, vendor management, and contract experience, including aminimum of 5 years in IT procurement, vendor management, and contracting.
- 5 years proven leadership experience with increasing levels of accountability, including direct management of teams, budget oversight, and strategic initiatives.
- Strong expertise in software licensing, procurement, and outsourcing
- Deep knowledge of contract regulations, compliance requirements, and IT contract law.
- Demonstrated ability tobuild and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and transparency.
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities, fostering team growth and skill development.
