Landscape Maintenance Technician

M.J.’s passion for plants, the landscape industry and attention to detail can be seen in all aspects of the company from the grounds to the cleanliness of our trucks and equipment, to the organization of our shop. The owners are hands on, and more often than not, will be working side by side with you in the field. 

M.J. Design is currently in search of Landscape Maintenance Technicians to join our team. The right person will have a strong interest in the Landscape Industry. Some horticulture knowledge is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities:

·        Working with our Landscape Maintenance Leader, you will assist with maintaining the properties of M.J. Design Associates clients’. Actively participate in team development through the M.J. training program.

·        Performing weekly lawn care and bed maintenance services on properties. Includes edging, mulching, weed control, mowing and pruning.

·        Performing all work within quality, efficiency and safety standards.

·        Desire to develop skills to advance within the company.

Requirements:

·        Must be able to get to and from work on time each day.

·        Dependable and willing to work in diverse weather conditions.

·        Must have valid OH driver’s license with clean record

·        Experience in operation of truck & trailer a plus.

·        Good Communication skills and the ability to speak some Spanish plus.

·        Highly motivated and willingness to take initiative.

·        Excellent work ethic and ability to have fun in a fast paced, high-performance environment.

·        Love the outdoors, plants and the landscape industry.

Competitive Pay: $45,000 – 70,000/year Hourly pay. Experience dictates final rate.
