M&J is seeking an Inspections Engineer/Office Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily field inspections of construction work done by contractors to ensure conformance with drawings/designs & NYSDOT specifications.
- Enforce work zone traffic control, maintenance, protection and safety (OSHA) protocols.
- Prepare field inspection reports, enter concrete, soil samples and material certifications using the AASHTOWare Project Site Manager.
- Update, process, distribute and track project transmittals, RFIs, change orders and other critical documentation.
- Review and verify critical path method schedules and drawings.
Qualifications
Requirements: Master’s degree in Construction Engineering Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering or a closely related field. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in Project Management/Coordination. Will accept U.S. equivalent of the degrees. Days/hours of work: 40 hrs. per week. 7:00 am to 4:00 pm M-F Geographic Location: New Hyde Park, NY. Local travel, client (commuting distance of office) required.
