Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tower Hand to join our team, with at least 2-3 years of tower climbing experience. As a Tower Hand, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction, installation, and maintenance of telecommunication towers. This is a physically demanding role that requires climbing towers and working at heights.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the construction, installation, and maintenance of telecommunication towers
- Perform tower climbing and work at heights to complete assigned tasks
- Conduct tower inspections and identify any potential issues or hazards
- Install and connect cables, antennas, and other telecommunications equipment
- Perform fiber splicing and low voltage wiring as needed
- Operate bucket trucks and other equipment for tower access
- Assist with rigging operations for lifting heavy equipment
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in tower climbing or related field is preferred
- Ability to climb towers and work comfortably at heights
- Proficient in using bucket trucks for tower access
- Knowledge of fiber splicing techniques and low voltage cabling
- Familiarity with field service operations in the telecommunications industry
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to travel as required for projects
