What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant position at M. J. Griffith Paving?
Job Responsibilities
- Utilize Sage accounting software for financial management and reporting
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Oversee Payroll Processing, including payroll taxes, unemployment claims, and Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) reporting
- Administer 401(k) and Profit Sharing plans
- Perform Human Resources functions, including employee attendance tracking and general HR support
- Ensure compliance with regulations from ODOT, DAS, DFSP, DOT, Clearinghouse, and OSHA (including OSHA 300/300A reporting)
- Prior experience in the construction industry is preferred
- Provide customer service and support by answering phones and directing calls appropriately
- Prepare and type proposals and business correspondence
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Pay Negotiable based on experience.
