We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Properrty Mangement Accountant to oversee accounting operations and contribute to process improvements
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties.
- Prepare and distribute monthly and year-end financial reports, including income/expense statements, rent rolls, and commission reports.
- Audit financial transactions and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and manage budgets for condo associations, optimizing financial planning.
- Implement and maintain property management software systems, ensuring seamless data integration.
- Oversee 1099 tax preparation for vendors and property owners.
- Draft, review, and manage leases, ensuring terms align with market conditions.
- Handle delinquent accounts, invoicing tenants, coordinating legal actions as necessary.
- Train and mentor new team members on software systems and company processes.
- Enhance scheduling and service tracking for improved workflow efficiency.
- Address resident inquiries and mediate tenant concerns to maintain strong relationships.
- Evaluate property performance and recommend improvements to owners.
- Supervise unit turnover processes, contractor repairs, and security deposit returns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in property management accounting or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing.
- Experience with property management software implementation and training.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with property owners, tenants, and vendors.
