The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication, and mechanical maintenance. This position is primarily in-office Monday through Friday, with weekend hours available as needed while you are in school. Upon graduation, the position will require up to 75% travel for various industrial projects across the country.Job Responsibilities:Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery in various industrial settings.Perform routine maintenance and testing on machines and equipment to ensure proper functionality.Troubleshoot and resolve machine and equipment issues using strong problem-solving skills.Fabricate parts and equipment for repairs and machine upgrades based on drawings, blueprints, and other diagrams.Communicate with customers, team members, Foreman, and Project Managers to ensure proper housekeeping and safety procedures are followed.Job Qualifications:Proficient in using power and hand tools.Mechanical skills background in automotive or related fields is a plus.Welding and fabrication experience (specifically MIG, TIG, and Stick welding).Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including mechanical and electrical diagrams.Previous experience as a welder technician or in a similar field is a plus.Familiarity with PPE and OSHA standards.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Flexibility to work weekends as needed while in school and a willingness to travel up to 75% after graduation.Must have own tools necessary for the role (option to purchase a tool kit through the company if needed).Compensation and Benefits:Starting pay at $20 per hour.Opportunity for performance-based raises and advancement.Health, dental, and vision insurance plans available.Paid time off (PTO) begins to accrue after 6 months of employment.Access to Simple IRA with a 3% company match after 6 months of employment.Travel time paid at normal hourly rate and eligible for overtime pay.Tuition Reimbursement Plan available for graduates of Universal Technical Institute (UTI).
