Position Summary:
We are seeking a NAS410 qualified NDT Level II Liquid Penetrant (PT) Inspector. The successful candidate will conduct liquid penetrant inspections on metallic materials in accordance with ASTM E1417, maintain detailed records, ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures, and demonstrate proficiency in using FPI equipment for inspections and system maintenance. This role demands diligence, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 400 hours of experience in liquid penetrant inspection of metallic materials.
- One year of properly documented NAS410 PT Level II experience in accordance with ASTM E1417.
- Must acquire and maintain nondestructive testing certification by passing required written and practical examinations in accordance with NAS410.
- Knowledge of all department equipment and operations.
Technical Skills Required:
- Conduct tests, interpret results, evaluate for acceptance and rejection, and document results.
- Thorough knowledge of the scope and limitations of the method in which they are certified.
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Penetrant Inspect newly manufactured parts in accordance with ASTM E1417, company procedures and work instructions.
- Perform daily system checks and document the results.
- Perform daily inspection of parts.
- Maintain a daily log of all parts processed.
- Prepare solutions and process parts through necessary solutions for FPI operation.
- Clean, apply penetrant solution, wash, develop, dry, and perform other preparatory operations.
- Comply with standard procedures for checks on equipment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a visual acuity exam.
- Must be able to regularly lift 15 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have the ability to work while sitting, standing and walking for an 8-hour workday.
- Must have the ability to work in a warm and humid environment.
- Must maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Must follow all safety rules.
