What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Construction Estimator position at M.J. Whelan Construction?

Established and growing design / build residential building and remodeling company has an opening for a residential construction estimator. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player to join our team.
Responsibilities :
- To assist and coordinate with sales team
- To understand and create budgets and estimates for all remodeling and new construction.
- Write accurate, comprehensive and descriptive contracts that lead to successful, profitable construction projects.
- To thoroughly understand blueprints / drawings, scope of work and do take-offs.
- To secure bids from sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Work together with trades and vendors to ensure project profitability.
- To manage change orders
- To have an understanding of all pricing and templates and update regularly.
- To understand and model our Core Values
Qualifications :
