Apparatus Technician
M&K Truck Centers is a Dealership that provides high quality maintenance service and repairs on diesel trucks of all makes. We're one of the fastest growing commercial truck groups in the Midwest.
In addition to being one of the largest retailers for Mack and Volvo semi-trucks we also have an extensive Fire and Rescue department. We are currently seeking an Apparatus Technician to provide service, diagnose and repair emergency apparatus. Including but not limited to engine, drivetrain, fire pump, and other components of the vehicle.
Job Duties:
- Perform all mechanical/technician basic duties for emergency vehicles.
- Perform light fabrication, welding and repairs.
- Chassis capabilities must encompass all unit systems.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Order and obtain proper parts from parts department.
- Ability to work after hours including emergency call out for break downs as needed.
- Testing of parts and equipment for quality of completed jobs.
- Pressure washing parts and equipment when necessary.
Experience:
- One year of hands on emergency vehicle and or heavy-duty commercial vehicle work.
- Previous experience with maintenance, inspection and testing of fire apparatus is a plus
- Aluminum welding and fabrication experience required.
- CDL License preferred.
- PA Inspectors License for heavy-duty trucks preferred.
- Must own basic set of tools.
