Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide quality diagnoses and repair on vehicles and trailers out of our Mobile Truck on customer’s lots, with safety as the number one goal. As Mobile Diesel Technician work could be preventative maintenance, electrical, and drive train work for our customers out in the field.
Essential Functions
Methods, materials, tools and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance.
Diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs.
Understanding of basic computer skills to operate diagnostic electronic tools.
Safety practices and procedures.
Operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes
Use of power and hand tools, along with personal level of tool ownership and inventory.
Prepare and maintain records and reports.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.
Follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers’ service specifications.
Manage parts and tool inventory in the truck
Engage in customer communication with findings.
Heavy lifting (50 lbs.)
Twisting, bending, standing, use of both hands and arms.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of heavy duty truck repair experience
Previous experience working as a mobile technician
Must have a CDL A or B license with a clean DMV report
Experience with Premium Tech Tool is preferred
Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.
This is a full-time position. We are seeking someone with the ability to be on rotation for after-hours service calls, including weekends.
