Corporate IT Accounting team at a leading investment manager in NYC is seeking an experienced technical business analyst / SQL developer with strong SQL database and financial data analysis experience to drive and manage the successful execution of key projects across the team. The role requires mobilizing cross-functional teams towards agreed-upon goals, showcasing key benefits, and overseeing and reporting progress on projects.
Responsibilities :
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders and Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of projects.
- Conduct data analysis to support business decisions.
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and database objects (tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, etc.)
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.
- Collaborate with application team to design and implement database schemas and structures.
- Ensure data integrity and security through proper design and implementation of database constraints and permissions.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of proven experience as an SQL Developer and Business Analysis.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, SSRS, Power BI).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial data analysis.
- Experience in Infor / Lawson financials is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, multitasking and multi-focus skills.
