**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and maintenance, with expertise in various trades such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for completing a wide range of projects at different locations throughout Michigan, ranging from the metro Detroit area to Grand Rapids.
**Responsibilities:**
- Perform repairs, renovations, and maintenance tasks in commercial buildings, including but not limited to wall repairs, painting, flooring installations, and fencing repairs/replacements.
- Conduct inspections to assess the scope of work required and develop comprehensive project plans.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements, ensuring projects are completed to their satisfaction and within budget and timeframe constraints.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on-site, ensuring a safe and secure environment for yourself and others.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the course of a project, demonstrating resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and any additional expenses incurred.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in a maintenance or construction-related role, with expertise in multiple trades such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship consistently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as travel between job sites is required.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards relevant to commercial construction and maintenance projects.
