M&M Recycling, Inc is seeking a motivated and reliable Non-Ferrous Warehouse Assistant & Machine Operator (Forklift) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in various tasks, including labor, customer service, warehouse organization, and all other non-ferrous warehouse needs. This role will also involve identifying, sorting, and processing non-ferrous metals and operating warehouse equipment, such as a forklift. Training & certification can be provided for Forklift operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their scrap metal materials and processing inquiries.
- Identify, sort, and process various non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, copper, brass, and other alloys, ensuring proper classification and quality standards.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials and products safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse and yard, including regular sweeping, trash removal, and equipment cleaning.
- Ensure safety protocols and company policies are adhered to at all times.
- Assist in inventory management by ensuring all materials are correctly labeled and stored.
- Perform all labor duties that are assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or scrap metal recycling environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of non-ferrous metals and the ability to identify and sort them correctly.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification is preferred (training can be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of safety practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to [50] lbs).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to [50] pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Work in various weather conditions and environments (outdoors and indoors).
Compensation & Hours:Competitive hourly rate based on experience. Benefits include healthcare, paid time off, and more.
Hours are 730a-5p Monday through Friday and 8a-12p Saturdays.
