Truck Scale Operator

Job Description:

As a Truck Scale Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the proper operation of the truck scale and ensuring accurate weight measurements of incoming and outgoing vehicles. Your duties will include processing data, maintaining scale equipment, communicating with other personnel, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor truck scale systems to weigh trucks and other vehicles.
• Accurately record weight data and enter information into computer systems.
• Ensure proper documentation for all transactions, including delivery logs and weight tickets.
• Provide assistance to drivers by directing them to the scale and ensuring safe loading/unloading procedures.
• Communicate with drivers to address any discrepancies or issues related to vehicle weight.
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration checks on scale equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company and safety guidelines to maintain a secure and safe environment.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a scale operator or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with data entry and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to [50] pounds and perform general physical tasks.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 50 per week
