Our Automotive technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing issues, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on vehicles, utilizing specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify problems with a car's engine, transmission, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension, and other components, and then fixing them by replacing worn parts or making necessary adjustments, all while ensuring a vehicle is safe and functioning properly.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Vehicle inspection: Thoroughly examining vehicles to identify potential problems, including checking fluid levels, tire condition, and overall mechanical health.
• Diagnostic testing: Using computerized diagnostic tools to pinpoint the source of issues with a vehicle's electrical and mechanical systems.
• Repair and maintenance: Performing repairs such as replacing worn brake pads, fixing engine issues, repairing electrical components, aligning wheels, and completing routine maintenance like oil changes and tire rotations.
• Parts replacement: Installing necessary replacement parts according to manufacturer specifications.
• Service Advisor communication: Explaining repair needs to customers in a clear and understandable way, providing estimates for repairs, and addressing any concerns.
• Technical documentation: Maintaining accurate repair records and following repair procedures outlined in technical manuals.
• Safety protocols: Adhering to safety guidelines when working on vehicles, including proper use of tools and protective equipment.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of automotive systems
• Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers
• Automotive technician certification (ASE) is often preferred Requirements:
  
  
• High school diploma or equivalent.
  Completion of an automotive service technician program or equivalent experience.
  ASE certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and repair automotive issues.
  Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
