Compliance Officer Job Description
The Compliance Officer is responsible for keeping the CDAA Program activities within guidelines, regulations, and ethical expectations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of compliance requirements and will be able to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws. He or she will also be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
· Monitoring the programs compliance with laws and regulations.
· Establishing procedures to ensure that employees are aware of all program policies and procedures.
· Review and implementation of policies and procedures resulting from new laws and regulations.
· Review Health Home/DOH Policy and Procedures and ensure staff are following the policies and procedures.
· Creating self-audits and compliance monitoring programs.
· Complete the required quarterly Health Home self-audit.
· Develop and implement a written Health Home incident policy and procedures.
· Provide oversight of the program’s incident management and train staff regarding their related roles and responsibilities.
· Designing and coordinating the preparation and on-going review of policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools to ensure the program meets compliance requirements.
· Interacting with external auditors on matters related to audits of the program’s internal controls.
· Reviewing employee manual and other policies to ensure that they are following state and federal laws.
· Reviewing and assessing potential Fraud, Waste & Abuse activities.
· Communicating with government agencies to ensure that the program is following regulations.
· Reviewing all new hires for potential conflicts of interest or other issues that could affect their ability to perform their jobs effectively.
Qualifications:
· Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
· At least 3-5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, or monitoring and quality assurance.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent attention to detail ability to manage multiple tasks.
· General knowledge of Federal and State legal regulatory practices.
· Ability to formulate compliance policies, procedures, and related documentation.
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
