Key Responsibilities

• Oversee process control related to assigned machining equipment under the guidance of the Machine Shop Supervisor.
• Conduct in-process inspections and manage inventory control for materials processed through your designated machines.
• Execute the setup and programming of CNC machines based on engineering specifications.
• Meet efficiency targets set by management while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Assist in the training and development of fellow machinists as required by supervisory staff.
• Foster a collaborative team atmosphere, supporting interdepartmental cooperation in addressing job-related challenges.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to machining operations at all times.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient in CNC Lathe Operation specifically with Mazak lathes.
• Strong capability in CNC programming and machine setup.
• Ability to interpret engineering prints accurately.
• Competence in performing advanced mathematical computations.
• Skilled in using various measuring tools for quality assessments.
• Experience in operating overhead cranes.
• Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 lbs as necessary.
• Effective communication skills to convey information and instructions clearly and professionally.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and/or training in CNC machining is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
