What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Administrative Assistant position at M&R Power Equipment Group?
In this role, the Front Desk Administrative Assistant will greet customers with a welcoming first impression who may need some extra help or direction as they enter the establishment. One should expect to also answer and field any telephone calls to the correct departments or persons. This position may also require selling of small-lines equipment and helping with any additional overflow Administrative duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have high school diploma, additional certificate or secondary education is preferred
- 3 years’ experience working in a retail environment * Must have excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Must have effective oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to use standard desktop operations and computer operating systems
- Have dedicated outlook on the performed work
- Must be willing to learn and complete training as needed for the position
- This position may involve lifting and moving equipment and supplies with the associate injury hazards and requirements for use of related safety equipment
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Welcomes and determines nature of business to on-site visitors and directing/introducing them to correct department or personnel
- Assists any showroom customers with small-lines equipment
- Responsible for watching door and acting as monitors against theft
- Takes payments for services and products sold or owed
- Price showroom and outside merchandise according to Manager’s instructions
- Answer incoming phone calls in a polite and professional manner, determining purpose of call and forwarding to appropriate personnel or department or taking and delivering messages when personnel are unavailable
- Retrieve messages from voicemail and or forward to appropriate personnel
- Maintain showroom cleanliness and organization at all times or as directed
- Assist with any administrative duties such as filing, warranty registrations, etc.
- Other job responsibilities may be assigned depending on workload, changes in personnel or emergencies
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:
The following will be used to evaluate the performance of the Front Desk Administrative Assistant. Management objectives may be assigned to further measure and reward top performance.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
