M&R Power Equipment Lot Associate
The role of M&R’s Lot Associate is to proactively and systematically control and maintain the facility’s appearance outside and inside. The Lot Associate may also perform inventory control and assembly when necessary, including receiving shipments and ensuring all items are accounted for and organized properly. To ensure success in this position, one must be accountable and employ prudence in performing assigned duties. Our ideal candidate is a proficient multitasker, organized, and can perform to a high level of accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge with power equipment operations required
- Must possess forklift operation knowledge and heavy equipment
- Must have a valid drivers license
- This position may involve operating power tools, lifting, and moving equipment, and other shop supplies with the associated injury hazards and requirements for use of related safety equipment
Core Responsibilities of M&R’s Lot Associate:
- Maintaining and organizing the equipment lot layout on a regular basis to optimize space and appearance
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the lot and areas surrounding facility
- Maintaining the seasonal needs of the lot, including landscaping, trimming grass, and plowing/salting in appropriate months, when needed
- Maintain safe working conditions especially while operating forklifts, plow trucks, equipment, etc.
- Assist with inventory control and participate in counts at the discretion of the store manager
- Ensure all equipment on lot is detailed, clean, starts, and is in “Sale-ready” condition at all times
- Maintain strict equipment tagging control on lot
- Ensure the security of the facility and equipment on a daily basis
- Assisting and supporting the Service and Rental departments as directed by respective managers to keep service flowing efficiently
- Assisting the Management Team in displaying, organizing, and stocking equipment and merchandise throughout the showroom
- Push equipment into and out of the showroom to minimize offensive noises and smells when needed
- When needed, assisting in setup and take-down of company trade shows and events
- Complete any facility repairs as needed
Measures of Performance:
The following will be used to evaluate the performance of the Facilities Assistant. Management objectives may be assigned to further measure and reward top performance.
- Regularly meet performance targets, while consistently maintaining cleanliness/organization of facilities
- On time performance, work ethic, and quality of Personal Development Plans
- Ability to lead by example
- Provides accurate updates and reports to Store Manager as requested
