JOB TITLE: Driver
DEPARTMENT: Service
REPORTS TO: Service Manager
The role of a Driver at M&R Power Equipment is to use their skills/knowledge to assist customers in getting their equipment to/from the dealership for repairs in a timely and safe manner. Drivers also act as the final contact for new sales deliveries. Drivers must safely maintain vehicles and loads as per company, local, state, and federal regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High-school diploma
· Two-year history of a clean driving record and maintain a clean driving record
· Must hold a valid driver’s license/medical card. May be required to hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A Required)
· Steel toed boots are required for this position
· Customer service experience preferred
· Must have a professional and positive demeanor
· Must be able to see, hear and touch. Must be able to read and write fluent English. The position may involve operating power tools, lifting and moving equipment, and supplies with the associated injury hazards and requirements for use of related safety equipment
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (Includes But Is Not Limited to the Following):
· Picks up/delivers customer equipment for repairs
· Customer interaction daily which requires a high level of professionalism
· Delivers new equipment to customers after the sale and may be required to have customers sign contracts or collect payment
· Responsibly and properly uses company vehicles and trailers according to company safety guidelines
· Responsible for maintaining vehicles for light service/maintenance and reporting defects/incident to Service Manager
· Responsible for maintaining vehicles/loads according to local, state, and federal DOT regulations
· All other duties as assigned
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:
The following will be used to evaluate the performance of M&R’s Driver. Management objectives may be assigned to further measure and reward top performance.
· Regularly meets performance targets, while consistently maintaining outlined responsibilities of Driver
· Demonstrates accountability for actions and ability to lead by example
· On-time performance, work ethic, and ability to perform in demanding business environments
· Demonstrates professional and positive attitude, following the company’s Collaborative Team Building Language
· Presents oneself and M&R Power Equipment in a professional and positive manner
Provides accurate updates and reports to the Service Manager as requested
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
