Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for working within and managing a preventive maintenance program which includes scheduling, coordinating, and performing maintenance activities to minimize disruptions and equipment repairs for 22 machines in our 18,000 sq ft manufacturing shop . The role includes troubleshooting & repair, proper log and reporting of maintenance and timely communication to all affected teams.

Essential Duties

  • Accountable for Creating & Managing the preventative maintenance program.
  • Accountable for performance to minimize equipment disruptions.
  • Accountable for communication to all affected teams.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the maintenance requirements for all machines.
  • Proper start-up, set-up, and shut-down procedures for all machines.
  • Review, understand and troubleshoot error codes.
  • Ability to move machines into service modes or locations to provide full maintenance access.
  • Perform predictive maintenance in conjunction with established maintenance schedule.
  • Learn and administer specific cleaning procedures to all machines, as per schedule.
  • Report, log and incorporate issues related to specific machine predictive maintenance.
  • Update and track consumables (oil, endmills, blades, countersinks, etc..).
  • Maintain To-Do list for all maintenance requirements (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Report any issues within department, including, but not limited to, Quality Control, maintenance, inventory, and safety.
  • Check oil and coolant levels daily, fill as required.
  • Handle machine cleaning and coolant changes.
  • Operate forklift truck to move various materials, load and unload bins & pallets.
  • Check and repair items throughout the shop (doors, lights, etc).
  • General Maintenance and Housekeeping throughout M&R as needed.
  • Remove, weigh and replace chip drums.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with affected departments.
  • Identify and share process improvements for maintenance efficiency.
  • Additional tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to all established safety and PPE policies.

Must Have

  • Strong technical expertise in maintenance processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying maintenance plans and safety protocols.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities, especially in diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues.
  • Project management skills to handle multiple maintenance projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to accurately read measuring devices, including tape measure, caliper, micrometer, etc.

Education & Experience

  • 3 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with safety regulations, such as OSHA, and environmental compliance.

  • Manual Dexterity
  • Stamina to work all assigned regular and overtime hours
  • 20/40 vision required with or without correction
  • Ability to use hands 100% of the workday
  • Ability to hear 100% of the workday
  • Ability to stand and or walk 100% of the workday; ability to bend, stoop or twist up to 75% of the workday
  • Ability to exert physical force to push, pull, lift or carry 70 pounds frequently during the workday
  • Ability to work in the shop environment – exposure to potentially hazardous metal working machinery and equipment, loud noises, dust, mist, oils and solvents

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $41.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
