What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transport Driver position at M & R TRUCKING, INC.?
The Transport Driver will perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans.
- Participate in pre-trip preparations of vehicle
- Ensure proper equipment is loaded on vehicle prior to leaving the yard
- Fill out Log Book
- Coordinate with dispatch office for job assignments, maps, special instructions, etc...
- Drive water truck
- Conduct JSA before entering job site and plan entry route
- Operate pump
- Prepare post trip for any damaged equipment
- Load hoses on and off of truck
- Complete logs, Job Safety Analysis, vehicle inspection reports, way bills, BBS cards, fuel reports
- Employees in this position are considered confidential, maintaining the utmost confidentiality in dealing with business information
- Report all incidents or unsafe actions and / or worksites to supervisors
- Must complete jobs in order and notify supervisor or dispatcher of any uncompleted jobs
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
- Must be able to be on 24 hour call on scheduled days
