Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Crude Oil Hauler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of crude oil from production sites to designated delivery points. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and the ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles.
Duties
- Safely operate tanker trucks to transport crude oil to specified locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all hauls.
- Follow designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or issues encountered during deliveries.
- Handle loading and unloading of crude oil using appropriate equipment, including forklifts and roll-off trucks when necessary.
- Ensure proper maintenance of the vehicle, including routine checks on manual transmission systems and other critical components.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery schedules and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within the transportation industry.
- Familiarity with route driving, particularly in the oil and gas sector, is highly desirable.
- Experience operating various types of commercial vehicles, including flatbeds and refrigerated trailers.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to hazardous materials transportation.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with dispatch teams.
- A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required, along with any necessary endorsements for tanker operations.
