The Network Administrator (Senior) Responsibilities:
- Maintain computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware
- Install and configure network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues
- Update virus protection software to keep data and communications protected
- Monitor computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks
- Communicate networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users
- Fix software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and operational procedures
- Diagnose and resolve network issues quickly to minimize downtime
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience in network administration
- Knowledge of network protocols, standards, and devices (e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN, VPN)
- Familiar with network security principles and practices (e.g., firewall configuration)
- Knowledgeable with network operating systems (e.g., Windows Server) and management tools (e.g., Cisco IOS)
- Experience working in an Agile organization using SAFe
- Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, and Kanban preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Active US Top Secret Clearance is required
