Data Analyst

M.S. Hall Associates is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Data Analyst. We are looking for a detail oriented, self-directed learner to join our team and take on the responsibilities of collecting, organizing, and transforming various modes of healthcare data into meaningful, coherent, and actionable information. Projects may require interaction with clients via email, phone, and occasionally virtual or in person meetings.

As part of our team, you will:

• Collect, transform, load, and analyze data from various sources, including EHR systems, claims, contracts, and other financial systems.
• Validate data by reviewing samples for both internal and external audits.
• Utilize internal software, tools, and techniques to create reports.
• Work on a combination of projects, including Medicare Bad Debts, Medicare S-10, Medicaid DSH Audits, HCRA Audits, and Public Goods Surcharge reporting.

Requirements

• BS degree (or equivalent work experience) in Mathematics, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Information Management Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel using complex formulas and pivot tables.
• Familiarity with MySQL.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Data Visualization – Tableau preferred
• Languages - PHP, Python, R
• Entry Level System Administration
• Statistical Data Analysis
• Familiarity with healthcare data or other healthcare reimbursement experience
• Exposure to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
• Accounting and Finance principles
