MásLabor is seeking a Business Unit General Manager of Worker Operations: This position is responsible for leading a key business unit inside of the másLabor organization. The primary role will be leading all aspects of recruiting, logistics, worker coordination and temporary onboarding of foreign workers for our clients. The team this person will lead serves as the bridge between client services and foreign worker facilitators in the sourcing country for the labor. The primary duties involve managing the P&L for the business unit, ensuring the smooth coordination of visa workers’ transition from home country to client work site in the US, government compliance and maintaining effective communication between facilitators, employers and workers. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent organizational skills and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance employee productivity and operational efficiency. This position will consist of leading teams of company employees as well as collaborating with the Director of Vendor Management and additional vendor partners in multiple countries where másLabor recruits temporary workers for our clients. The Business Unit General Manager is also responsible for aligning worker operations with the company’s broader goals and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of a diverse team of employees
  • Ownership of all worker data management
  • Collaboration with IT to drive functional and efficient systems to enable worker coordination efforts and seamless flow of data from worker facilitators to másLabor
  • Working closely with the Director of Vendor Management to ensure open channels of communication on worker facilitator performance and service level agreement (SLA) adherence
  • Field worker-related inquiries and coordination with worker facilitators and data management to resolve escalations
  • Oversight over all domestic service offerings with a small team for administrative support, to include:
  • Named petitions
  • Domestic referral assistance
  • Transportation scheduling
  • Housing consultations
  • Worker onboarding
  • Worker-document repository
  • Participate in strategic planning to align worker operations with long-term company objectives.
  • Maintain open lines of communication to ensure alignment between worker operations and organizational goals.
  • Monitor and analyze workforce performance metrics, addressing inefficiencies and driving continuous improvement.
  • Support professional development initiatives, including training programs and mentorship opportunities.


Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective performance.
  • Manage budgets, monitor financial performance and ensure profitability.
  • Improve internal processes for better productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage and optimize resources within the business unit.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and mentorship and address employee issues.
  • Manage recruitment, hiring, and training processes.


Performance Management and Reporting:

  • Set key performance goals and track progress towards achieving them.
  • Analyze performance data, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present business unit results to senior management.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments and teams to achieve company-wide objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.


Compliance and Ethics:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards.
  • Manage risks and implement appropriate controls.


Skills and Qualifications:


Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.


Business Acumen:

A strong understanding of business principles, financial management and market dynamics is crucial.


Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective strategies to achieve business objectives.


Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to identify problems, analyze data and develop solutions.


Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to effectively communicate ideas, present data and engage with stakeholders.



Key Qualifications:


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources, or a related field or related work experience.
  • 8 years of experience in operations, workforce management, or a similar leadership role.
  • Willingness to travel frequently primarily to Mexico and other source countries to support the másLabor business unit


Skills and Competencies

  • Fluency in both English & Spanish (Verbal, Written and Comprehension) is 100% required
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a diverse workforce in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with lean operations, Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive measurable results.

Salary : $125,000 - $140,000
