This is a temporary to permanent position.
 
 M.T. Maritime Management LLC is currently seeking a Data Analyst/Visualizer, tasked with consuming datasets containing ship voyage operational and financial data and creating visualizations that allow users to derive insights, understand the data, and create actionable responses. These reports will be for internal management and will range from status and troubleshooting to business development and financial reporting. The Data Analyst/Visualizer is a highly motivated individual with both technical and creative skills responsible for creating reports and helping to maintain dataflows using Board Applications. This person will be part of a team that reports to the VP of Finance.

 Essential Functions

• Consume data to produce reports and analysis
• Communicate with various teams to develop data and report requirements
• Translate business questions into Board dashboards and reports
• Translate technical and detailed information into easily consumable and accurate reports
• Assert guidance and recommendation of visualizations for analysis

Collateral Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining documentation
• Assist in mentoring a growing base of Board users

Requirements

Job Specifications

• Experience with Board, Tableau, Power BI
• Experience with MS-SQL or Other Relational Databases a plus
• Experience with handling large data and maintaining report performance a plus
• Ability to understand complex and technical datasets
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a working knowledge of statistical analysis and data transformation
• Ability to create highly polished and professional reports in a timely manner
• Ability to communicate effectively and gather detailed requirements
• Creative thinker that can study a dataset and tell a story visually

Qualifications

• Bachelor's (Preferred)
• Data management: 1 year (Preferred)
