Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, contributing to a safe and functional environment for residents and staff.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of facilities, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems as needed.
- Fabricate parts or components as necessary to complete repairs or installations.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from residents or staff.
- Supervise other maintenance staff or contractors during larger projects or repairs.
- Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic quality within the facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including completed work orders and inventory of supplies.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with using an Ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools for electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Previous experience supervising teams is a plus but not mandatory.
- A commitment to safety standards and practices in all maintenance activities.
