Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. This role requires strong sales skills and a thorough understanding of property management processes. The Leasing Agent will play a critical role in attracting and retaining tenants while maintaining positive relationships with current residents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
- Manage the leasing process from application to move-in, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
- Utilize property management software, such as OneSite, to track leads and manage tenant files.
- Maintain knowledge of local rental laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all leasing activities.
- Upsell property features and amenities to enhance tenant satisfaction and drive lease conversions.
- Respond promptly to inquiries via phone or email, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with the property maintenance team to address tenant concerns and ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests.
- Prepare lease agreements and contracts while ensuring all legal aspects are adhered to.
- Maintain organized files for all leasing activities, including applications, contracts, and correspondence.
Experience
- Previous experience in leasing or property management is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Yardi Rent Cafe is a plus.
- Strong sales skills with a proven track record of upselling products or services.
- Knowledge of legal administrative tasks related to leasing agreements and property law is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
