Job Summary:
The Post-Harvest Technician performs manual labor to assist in the processing of cannabis, including hanging, bucking, drying, destemming, and trimming. The role requires maintaining a sanitary and organized inventory of products, ensuring proper labeling and tracking to avoid mislabeling and maintain strain and batch integrity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute all procedures and duties efficiently while adhering to M1 Industries' standard operating procedures (SOPs) and industry regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
- Be cross-trained to assist with tasks related to harvesting, drying, trimming, weighing, processing, filling, packaging, and other areas as needed.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy in product tracking, security, and movement procedures.
- Follow strict control measures to prevent mixing of different strains or batches, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Perform in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and visual inspections to meet or exceed M1 Industries' quality standards.
- Record and monitor processing conditions to ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Accurately weigh, record, and track product batches throughout the process.
- Monitor and maintain processing equipment, supplies, and inventory.
- Oversee and maintain HVAC systems that regulate drying operations, including monitoring temperature and humidity levels.
- Operate and maintain high-powered electric-driven machinery and equipment as required.
- Process cannabis flowers in preparation for extraction.
- Perform loss-on-drying tests to determine flower moisture content.
- Conduct daily balance checks, calibrations, and calculate Tare-Weight and Gross-Weight accurately.
- Provide training for new team members as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: 1 year of experience in the cannabis or agricultural industry preferred but not required.
