NDI Supervisor

M1 Support Services is looking for an NDI Supervisor:

• Supervises, trains, and evaluates employees in the NDI shop.

• Ensures all maintenance activities are accomplished in accordance with the Performance Work Statement, Air Force Instructions, Technical Orders, and company policies.

• Reports to the EMU Manager.

• Implements the NDT qualification and certification program for the contract IAW the PWS and NAS 410.

• Trains and monitors NDI personnel in the execution of their inspection techniques.

• Prepares, conducts and grades examinations for NDI Level I, Level II and Level III personnel qualification and certification IAW the requirements of NAS 410.

• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline workflow processes.

• Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism.

• Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies relating to aircraft maintenance operations.

• Applies Company policy and procedures pertaining to the promotion, training, discipline, and termination of employees.

• Ensures employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs.

• Ensures personnel have obtained the necessary training and instructions to perform assigned duties.

• Provides guidance for workforce management on matters pertaining to employee hiring, termination, transfer, evaluation, training and disciplinary actions.

• Must deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional and effective manner.

• Represent the company in an appropriate professional manner in terms of attire, business courtesies, ethics, and customer culture.

• Certified in accordance with NAS 410 as a Level III on NDT methods and shall have a thorough knowledge of written instructions, codes and specifications suited to support contract requirements.

• Develop and maintain NDI Level I,II and III Training Program.

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years AF NDI experience (minimum 7-level and experience as AF NDI Flight Chief)

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, mathematics skills are desirable

• Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions in the same language. Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.

• Must be capable of establishing techniques, interpreting specifications, codes and technical orders (TOs), designating the particular test method and techniques to be used, and interpreting the results.

• Must be capable of preparing, conducting and grading examinations for qualifying NDI Level I, II, and III personnel.

• Must be able to determine if an individual has used the correct procedure and to recognize the use of improper methods or techniques.

• Must be able to meet the vision standards specified in NAS 410.

• Thorough understanding of USAF aircraft maintenance processes required.

• Must fully understand quality control procedures.

• Able to obtain and maintain any security clearance and/or base access as required by the contract.

• Current valid U.S. Driver’s License.

• Environment ranges from office-like to hangar and flight line. Extensive sitting to climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
