M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic III who will oversee the maintenance and safety of aircraft, ensuringthey are released as safe for flight. This position involves managing all shop tasks, assigning workloads, andmaintaining proper manning in work centers. The mechanic will perform a wide range of maintenance, fromstructural and engine repairs to inspecting systems such as hydraulic, flight controls, and auxiliary powerunits. This role includes working with foreign cultures and participating in team leadership for maintenanceoperations.Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

• Perform repairs on aircraft structures, and functional components including rigging, surfacecontrols, and hydraulic units.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machines to repair and rebuild parts such as blades, fuselage, andgearboxes.
• Inspect turbine engines for cracks, corrosion, wear, and other damage, and test engine operationsusing specialized equipment.
• Remove, repair, and reassemble engine components.
• Perform 175-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic and other inspections.
• Inspect engines, structural components, and other aircraft systems for wear, corrosion or otherdefects.
• Service aircraft, including gearbox flushing, cleaning filters, greasing moving parts, and checkingbrakes.
• Accurately document maintenance activities in NALCOMIS / OOMA and ensure all inspections arerecorded properly.
• Follow local work site instructions and Navy regulations for maintenance and safety.
• Supervise and assign tasks to team members, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Manage shop operations and ensure proper manpower is allocated to various maintenance tasks.
• Handle HAZMAT in accordance with safety protocols.
• Participate in the FOD program, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with all safety requirements and guidelines for aircraft maintenance.
• Ten (10) years of recent O-level H-60S / R / F / H aircraft maintenance or equivalent rotary aircraftexperience.
• Five (5) years of H-60 Safe for Flight (release aircraft safe to fly) and CDQAR / QAR experience, withat least two (2) years in a management capacity.
• Experience in US Navy aircraft maintenance operations preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply technical data, manuals, and special operating instructions.
• Must be proficient with technical data, using computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Outlook, NALCOMIS / OOMA).
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary qualifications and certifications.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC) and meetbackground investigation requirements.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to work all shifts. Full time employment : however, 40-hours is not guaranteed per-week. Working hours; must be able to be flexible, start time and end time will be dependent onflight schedule and or overall tasking.Working Conditions :
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Prolonged sitting while using a computer terminal and constat use of vision for reviewingdocuments.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with assigned tasks.
• Ability to work in extreme conditions, including exposure to weather and hazardousenvironments.
