M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic: * Acts as technical advisor to aircraft helpers to diagnose and correct malfunctions of major aircraft systems. * Repairs, reworks, replaces, cleans, and inspects components or parts of systems to ensure proper system operations. * Makes necessary adjustments to controls, linkages, and actuating mechanisms. * Jacks and levels aircraft for major modifications, for weight, balance or alignment checks and for the functional evaluation of system operation. * Operates assigned Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) support equipment as needed. * Selects appropriate tools and equipment required to complete assignments. * Refers to workbooks and technical publications to determine specifications to be met. * Records all inspection/maintenance actions using AFTO forms, computer terminals, or other means as required. * Complies with all company, OSHA, AFOSH and customer safety requirements. * Performs other duties as required.
Additional Requirements: * High school diploma or GED. * Requires five (5) years' experience in the aircraft/aircraft trainer maintenance career field within the last ten (10) years. * Requires understanding of Technical Order requirements. * Must be able to accurately troubleshoot and repair complex aircraft/trainer systems. * Must have the ability to read, understand and interpret detailed technical publications and instructions. * Must have the ability to deal courteously, professionally and effectively with the customer. * Must speak, read, write, and understand English. * Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance. * Current valid U.S. Driver's License. * Environment ranges from office-like to hangar and flight line. Extensive sitting to climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
