Job Summary
The Quality Technician is responsible for conducting testing and auditing adherence to procedures during the manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with Iconex quality standards and meet customers’ specifications prior to delivering to the customer. They are also involved in inspecting to help Iconex fulfill its larger mission.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities(Essential Functions)
These are job functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Initiate documentation to record testing and auditing results, scrap paperwork and process as directed
Perform inspections (incoming and final) per procedures.
Release all acceptable finished goods; quarantine all problematic finished goods for QA analysis.
Scraps loads after jobs are completed.
Conducts WIP quality checks in all production depts.
Quarantine tag production that is outside of normal Iconex quality standards.
Sorts nonconforming product when required
Notify Management immediately when any quality issue jeopardizes the completion of the order specified quantity.
Pull samples for rejections
Address day to day quality issues through resolution
Special projects as assigned, working independently and/or within a team
Provides other assistance to Quality & Plant Management as requested
Utilize and retrieve documents from QCBD document storage system
Maintain calibrations and metrology system
Ship samples and testing equipment as needed.
Work closely with shop floor to advise on Quality expectations.
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Solid understanding of testing equipment
Minimum of 2 years of inspection and/or production experience
Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions ratios, and proportions
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information
Self-starter and/or team player with strong verbal written, and communication skills
Courteous professional manner when interacting with all employees or during conflict resolution

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
Work Environment
The job generally operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the facility, including long periods of standing time and carrying loads of 50 lbs. if necessary, forklift traffic and heavy equipment usage. The noise level in the manufacturing facility (shop floor) requires hearing and eye protection.
