Position Overview: The Onsite Audio Visual Service Technician is responsible for service calls, end user support, and preventative maintenance for our customers. He/she will troubleshoot, repair, and meet customers needs and expectations to support existing systems.

Primary Essential Job Duties:
- Answer and resolve service calls to the satisfaction of the customer
- Keeping all company equipment in good shape.
- Test and troubleshoot installed systems for defects.
- Train customers on currently installed projects.
- Maintain equipment in organized manner
- Perform system software and firmware updates as needed
- Configure AV equipment and control systems as needed, including but not limited to (AMX/Crestron/Extron); DSPs, matrix mixers and switchers; videoconferencing codecs and endpoints (Cisco/Polycom)
- Maintain information including but not limited to documentation, invoices, service summaries, job hours
- Monitor and maintain records of trouble tickets that are reported by customer.
- Provide daily client staff support 9hrs/day (45 hours max/week), 5 days/week, 52 weeks/year
- Deliver Rapid Response Time (<30 minutes for on-site location, typically under 5 minutes depending on the number of spaces and size of the building)
- Interact with customers and IT/AV personnel in customer-oriented, professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with salesmen and operations to maximize efficiency and profit.
- Maintain organization with connectors, cable and hardware in spaces designated by the client.
- Regular and predictable attendance as scheduled
- Work cooperatively with others.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic understanding of data network devices/networking
- High level of computer skills
- Ability to work without direction
- Talent to take initiative
- Travel not to expected to exceed 5%
- Critical thinking with the forethought of the job
- Regular and predictable attendance
Education and Experience
- Valid drivers license with appropriate driving record
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to work on a computer for long periods of time
- Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to bend, squat and kneel
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to pass drug screen and background check
