Network Engineer

M9 Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to work on a government contract for a client located in San Diego, CA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor, and manage the local and wide area networks of an organization to ensure maximum up time for users.
• This role can include designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary.
• Network Design and Implementation:
  • Design, plan, and implement LAN (Local Area Network) infrastructure.
  • Configure and install Cisco network switches.
  • Implement network security measures.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
• Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
  • Monitor network performance and identify potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot network problems, diagnose issues, and implement solutions.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as software updates and hardware upgrades.
  • Document network configurations and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Security certification.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in network administration.
• 5 years of experience configuring Cisco switches.
• Have a Cisco CCO account to create Cisco TAC cases and download IOS updates.

$60,000 - $180,000 USD
